Rude Awakening

This has been our home in Canada for over a year and several months now. We are leasing here as we still have our home in Austin. During our residence here we have had to schedule repairs for the hot tub, the furnace, the gas fireplace, the stove, and the latest.....

..... the refrigerator! We woke up this morning only to discover the drippy mess. How rude! On a good note the fridge got cleaned out and is now working again thanks to the service man and a new relay part. Sorry for not visiting with blog friends today. My daughter also decided to get up about 2 hours earlier than normal so I've been dragging today.

Addendum: We pay for the repair and get re-imbursed by the homeowner. It just stinks that we have had so many things go wrong was all I was trying to say!

When you're leasing, does the landlord pay for the repairs? What a drag at any rate. I've had the AC guy and the washing machine guy come over the last 3 days... I hate it when things break down. Although it turned out that our washing machine was not broken; we just put too much detergent during the last wash and that's why water came out!

That happened to us a couple of months ago. I was also glad to have a clean fridge afterwards. Hope your week is better than today.

That's a really pretty rental home...wow! Bummer about fixing your own repairs. Doesn't sound like a very good landlord. Sorry about your fridge. That's just the pits!

Thanks for all your well wishes! The landlord pays us back for the repair. It's just an inconvenience is all. It has been a nice house to live in. Buckeroomama, glad your washing machine is better and I feel your pain! My Barefoot Farm, yes it is nice to have a clean fridge... just need to get more groceries now, ugh! Farmgirl Paints the landlord has been really good and it has been a nice temporary home for us!

Beautiful house! I feel your pain with all of the repairs. Such an inconvenience to have to deal with all of that. We've had our washer and dryer finally give out on us this year, but they lasted for well over 15 years! Hope you have a great week! :)

Good Lord, that just sounds exhausting to deal with.

That's a very pretty house you're leasing. Too bad so many things have needed repair. But now maybe nothing will break for a decade! There's nothing left TO break! :o)
